Special Assessment Districts for Lake Improvements

Friday, October 16, 2009
Kettunen Center, Tustin, Michigan

About the Conference

The purpose of the conference is to create a greater awareness of collaborative lake management options such as lake improvement boards and township public works projects and to provide a networking opportunity for those interested in collaborative lake management.  The conference will have three concurrent sessions.  One session will provide information to those who want to learn more about lake boards and township projects and possibly establish a collaborative management effort in their community.  A second session will cover topics such as public relations, grants, working with others, the Tax Tribunal and running a meeting, which will help existing lake boards.  Finally, the third session will deal with lake ecology and management, which will provide lake board participants a better understanding of lake environmental issues.

Registration Information

The cost of the conference is $60.  Click here to register in advance and either pay online or print out a payment form that can be mailed.  Questions on registration can be directed to Lois Wolfson (wolfson1@msu.edu) For other conference information, please contact Dave Foley (quetico49601@yahoo.com).
